An inspiring trip to Oskarshamn: Collaborative journey for the DEKOM industry

Study trip with the DEKOM cluster to Oskarshamn

The trip to Oskarshamn was a great experience where Uniper and OKG welcomed us with open arms. They openly shared both the joys and challenges of decommissioning their reactors, and we got a practical demonstration of how the reactors are dismantled. Even more exciting was seeing how local contractors have become involved, and how their expertise and creativity contribute to an even more efficient decommissioning of the facility.

- I am personally incredibly impressed and feel a new inspiration to continue the work of developing the DEKOM industry. With the role I have, it is always magical to see how members of the cluster build networks among themselves and with those we meet, and make plans for further meetings, says Stian Melhus from Smart Innovation Norway, head of the DEKOM cluster.

A very successful trip!
